I had plans for a simple time machine for years.
Yesterday, when my mother's new refrigerator arrived, I tested it.
After the refrigerator was taken out of its box, I entered the box and used a stool to sit and a long metal lever for steering.
After I came out my mother asked if it worked.
I replied that it did, but the device had a minor glitch:
It advanced forward in time only at a constant speed of 1 sec/sec.
Back to the drawing board I guess...
